About Daily Lotto (South Africa)
Daily Lotto is the South African National Lottery’s everyday game, operated by Ithuba. Five numbers are drawn from a pool of 36, there is no bonus ball, and a draw takes place every evening of the week. It was designed as a simpler, cheaper game with shorter odds than Lotto or PowerBall and a top prize that is paid out in every draw.
This page shows the five winning numbers for each daily draw and the jackpot announced for the next one. LuckyNumberz does not sell tickets and has no connection with Ithuba or the National Lottery.
How to play
Choose five numbers from 1 to 36 for each board, or take a Quick Pick. Draws are held every day, including weekends, at 21:00 South African time, and sales for the day’s draw close shortly before then.
Tickets are sold by National Lottery retailers, through participating banks and through the operator’s official website and app. There is no add-on game: a Daily Lotto board is a single entry in a single draw, although you can play several boards or enter the same numbers for a number of consecutive days.
Odds
The odds of winning the Daily Lotto (South Africa) jackpot are 1 in 376,992: 5 numbers from 1–36.
Prizes and jackpot
There are four prize divisions, for matching two, three, four or all five numbers. All prizes are pari-mutuel: each division receives a share of the prize fund, so the amount per winner depends on that day’s sales and on how many tickets share the division.
Unlike Lotto and PowerBall, the Daily Lotto jackpot does not roll over. If no ticket matches all five numbers, the top-division money is shared among the winners of the next division down, so the full prize fund is paid out every day.
History
Daily Lotto was launched in March 2019 as the National Lottery’s first game with a draw every day of the week. It filled the gap between the twice-weekly Lotto and PowerBall draws with a lower-priced ticket, better odds and a jackpot that is always won, and it has been drawn nightly ever since.
Frequently asked questions
When is Daily Lotto drawn?

Does the jackpot roll over?
No. If nobody matches all five numbers, the top prize is shared among the players who matched four, so the money is paid out every day.
