About Lotto 6aus49
Lotto 6aus49 is Germany’s classic Saturday lottery, organised by the Deutscher Lotto- und Totoblock, the association of the sixteen state lotteries. Draws have been held every week since 1955, with a second weekly draw on Wednesdays since 1982.
This page shows the six numbers and the Superzahl for each draw, taken from the official LOTTO.de results service.
How to play
Choose six numbers from 1 to 49. A tip costs €1.20 plus a small processing fee that varies by state. The Superzahl, a digit from 0 to 9, is not chosen: it is the last digit of your ticket number and is drawn separately.
The same ticket can enter the add-on games Spiel 77 and SUPER 6, which use the ticket number rather than your chosen numbers, and the Glücksspirale.
Odds
The odds of winning the Lotto 6aus49 jackpot are 1 in 139,838,160: 6 numbers from 1–49 plus one from 0–9.
Prizes and jackpot
There are nine prize classes. Class 9 is two numbers plus the Superzahl (a fixed €6); class 1 is six numbers plus the Superzahl, the jackpot. Prizes in the upper classes are pari-mutuel and depend on sales.
Since September 2020 the jackpot is capped at €45 million. If it is not won at the cap, the money is paid to the next class with a winner.
History
The first 6aus49 draw took place on 9 October 1955 in Hamburg. The Wednesday draw was added in 1982. The Superzahl replaced the earlier Zusatzzahl (a seventh ball from the main drum) in May 2013.

Wednesday at 18:25 and Saturday at 19:25, German time. Saturday results are published a little later than the draw time because the numbers are verified first.
What are the odds of winning the jackpot?
Six numbers plus the Superzahl: 1 in 139,838,160. Six numbers without the Superzahl (class 2) is 1 in 15,537,573.
Why can’t I pick the Superzahl?
It is printed on the ticket as the final digit of the ticket number, so every ticket already has one. It is drawn from 0 to 9 after the main numbers.
