About Swiss Lotto
Swiss Lotto is the national lottery of Switzerland, operated by Swisslos in the German- and Italian-speaking cantons and offered in the French-speaking part of the country by Loterie Romande. It is drawn twice a week and is the game most Swiss players mean when they simply say “Lotto”. Six numbers are drawn from a pool of 42, and a separate machine then produces a lucky number, the Glückszahl, from 1 to 6.
This page shows the six winning numbers and the lucky number for every draw, taken from the operator’s official results page, together with the jackpot announced for the next draw. LuckyNumberz does not sell tickets and has no connection with Swisslos or Loterie Romande.
How to play
Pick six numbers from 1 to 42 and one lucky number from 1 to 6 for each line you play. You can choose the numbers yourself or let the terminal or the app fill them in at random. Draws are held on Wednesday and Saturday evenings; on Saturdays sales close at 17:00 Zurich time and the results appear around 18:00, on Wednesdays they appear in the evening, from around 19:30.
Tickets are sold in kiosks, shops and other authorised outlets across Switzerland and through the operators’ official websites and apps. A single ticket can carry several lines and can be entered for a number of consecutive draws. The same ticket also carries Replay, a separate side game with its own draw; those results are not part of the Swiss Lotto numbers shown here.
Odds
The odds of winning the Swiss Lotto jackpot are 1 in 31,474,716: 6 numbers from 1–42 plus one from 1–6.
Prizes and jackpot
The prize categories run from small prizes for matching three numbers up to the jackpot for all six numbers plus the lucky number. Because the lucky number comes from its own drum, six correct numbers without it is a large second prize rather than the top prize. Amounts in the upper categories depend on ticket sales and on how many winners share them.
When nobody matches all six numbers and the lucky number, the jackpot rolls over to the following draw and keeps growing until it is won. The operator publishes the expected jackpot for the next draw, and that figure is what appears at the top of this page.
History
Swiss Lotto has been drawn since 1970. The game has been revised several times over the decades, most recently in 2013, when the pool was set to 42 main numbers and the separate lucky number from 1 to 6 was introduced. That change made the jackpot harder to hit and produced longer rollover sequences than the earlier format.
Frequently asked questions
When is Swiss Lotto drawn?
On Wednesday and Saturday evenings, Swiss time: results come around 18:00 on Saturdays and from around 19:30 on Wednesdays. The winning numbers are published on the operator’s site shortly after the draw and appear on this page as soon as they are released.
What are the odds of winning the Swiss Lotto jackpot?
Six numbers from 42 give 5,245,786 combinations, and the lucky number from 1 to 6 multiplies that by six, so the jackpot odds are 1 in 31,474,716.
Do I have to match the lucky number to win anything?
No. There are prize categories for matching numbers without the lucky number, but the top prize requires all six numbers and the lucky number.
What is Replay?
A separate game printed on the same ticket, with its own draw. Its results are not part of Swiss Lotto and are not shown on this page.
