About Eurojackpot
Eurojackpot is the second pan-European lottery, created as a counterpart to EuroMillions for countries that were not part of that game. It is played in nearly twenty countries, from Germany and the Netherlands to Finland, Poland and Spain, with the draw held in Helsinki.
The jackpot is shared across all participating countries. This page shows the official numbers, the current jackpot and every past draw.
How to play
Choose five numbers from 1 to 50 and two Euro numbers from 1 to 12. A line costs €2 in most countries (prices are set nationally). Draws are on Tuesday and Friday evenings.
Tickets are sold by each country’s national lottery, in shops and online, and prizes are paid by the lottery where the ticket was bought.
Odds
The odds of winning the Eurojackpot jackpot are 1 in 139,838,160: 5 numbers from 1–50 plus 2 from 1–12.
Prizes and jackpot
There are 12 prize tiers. The lowest prize is for two main numbers plus one Euro number; the jackpot needs all five main numbers and both Euro numbers.
The jackpot starts at €10 million and is capped at €120 million. When the cap is reached and the jackpot is not won, the surplus flows down to the next winning tier.
History
The first Eurojackpot draw was on 23 March 2012 with seven countries. The game was overhauled in March 2022: the Euro number pool grew from 10 to 12, a Tuesday draw was added alongside the original Friday draw, and the cap was raised from €90 million to €120 million.
Frequently asked questions
When is Eurojackpot drawn?
Tuesdays and Fridays at 21:00 Helsinki time (20:00 in Central Europe). Results are published shortly afterwards.
What are the odds of winning the Eurojackpot jackpot?
1 in 139,838,160 — the same as EuroMillions, because both games use five numbers from 50 and two from 12.
What happens when the jackpot hits €120 million?
It cannot grow further. If nobody wins at the cap, the extra money goes to the second prize tier, which can then be worth tens of millions.
