Loto 6/49 results and next jackpot

About Loto 6/49

Loto 6/49 is the main jackpot game of Loteria Română, Romania’s national lottery. Six numbers are drawn from 49 with no extra ball, and the draw is held twice a week — Thursday and Sunday — in the same televised session as the operator’s other number games, Loto 5/40 and Joker.

This page shows the six winning numbers of every draw as published on Loteria Română’s official results page. LuckyNumberz does not sell tickets and has no connection with the operator; it only reports the numbers the operator publishes.

How to play

Choose six numbers from 1 to 49 on a Loto 6/49 ticket. The ticket is sold together with Noroc, a companion raffle game in which a number printed on the ticket is compared with a separately drawn number; you can play 6/49 on its own or with Noroc. Tickets are available at Loteria Română agencies across Romania and through the operator’s online channels.

Draws take place on Thursday and Sunday at 18:30 Bucharest time and are broadcast live; sales for each draw close at 16:00 the same day. A ticket can carry several combinations, and system tickets let you mark more than six numbers to cover every six-number combination among them.

Odds

The odds of winning the Loto 6/49 jackpot are 1 in 13,983,816: 6 numbers from 1–49.

Prizes and jackpot

Prizes in Loto 6/49 are pari-mutuel: a fixed share of ticket sales forms the prize fund, which is split between the categories and then divided among the winners in each. The top category is for all six numbers; the lower categories reward five, four and three numbers.

When no ticket matches six numbers, the top-category fund rolls over — in Romanian, a report — to the next draw and keeps growing until it is won. Lower categories without a winner are carried forward the same way, which is why the second prize can occasionally be unusually large. The prize amounts for each draw are published by Loteria Română.

History

Loteria Română traces its history to the state lottery founded in 1906, and Loto 6/49 has been its flagship numbers game since the 1990s. The six-from-49 matrix has stayed the same, and the Thursday and Sunday sessions are now shared with Loto 5/40 and Joker.

The operator’s public results page carries only the most recent draw, so the archive on this page grows forward from the day collection started rather than reaching back decades.
