About LOTO (Slovensko)

LOTO is the national six-from-49 lottery of Slovakia, run by TIPOS, the state-owned lottery company. Each session includes two separate draws, called 1. ťah and 2. ťah, plus the Joker raffle; this page follows the first draw (1. ťah), with its six main numbers and the dodatkové číslo, an additional number drawn from the same drum.

The results here, including the prize table for each draw, come from TIPOS’s official publication. LuckyNumberz does not sell tickets and has no connection with TIPOS.

How to play

Choose six numbers from 1 to 49. You can play the first draw, the second draw or both on the same ticket, and add Joker, a separate six-digit raffle number printed on the ticket. Tickets are sold at TIPOS outlets throughout Slovakia and through the operator’s official website and app.

Draws are held three times a week — Sunday, Wednesday and Friday — at 18:00 Bratislava time. Sales close shortly before the draw, and a ticket can be entered for several consecutive draws with the same numbers.

The odds of winning the LOTO (Slovensko) jackpot are 1 in 13,983,816: 6 numbers from 1–49.

Prizes and jackpot

There are four prize categories in each draw: six numbers (the first category, the jackpot), five numbers plus the additional number, five numbers, and four numbers. The additional number is a seventh ball from the same drum and only matters if you have already matched five main numbers.

Prizes in the upper categories are shared among the winners from the draw’s prize fund; when nobody matches six numbers the jackpot rolls over to the next draw. TIPOS publishes the jackpot on offer for the next draw, and that figure is shown at the top of this page.

History

TIPOS held the first LOTO draw on 2 May 1993, a few months after Slovakia became an independent state, and the game was drawn once a week, on Sundays, for its first six years. A Wednesday draw was added on 8 September 1999.

Fridays came much later: for years a Friday draw was held only as an occasional special — the Friday the 13th draws of 2023 and 2024 — before a regular Friday draw began on 7 March 2025. There is no draw on Good Friday. The archive on this page reaches back to the first draw in 1993.
