About Lotto (Nederland)
Lotto is the Netherlands’ weekly numbers lottery, operated by Nederlandse Loterij, the state-owned company that also runs the Staatsloterij. Six numbers are drawn from a pool of 45, followed by a seventh ball from the same machine, the reserve number. There is one draw a week, on Saturday evening.
This page shows the six winning numbers and the reserve number for each Saturday draw, taken from the operator’s official results page, together with the jackpot announced for the next draw. LuckyNumberz does not sell tickets and has no connection with Nederlandse Loterij.
How to play
Choose six numbers from 1 to 45 for each line, or let the system pick them at random. The draw is held on Saturday at 21:00 Amsterdam time, and sales for the week’s draw close shortly before then.
Tickets are sold by Nederlandse Loterij’s retailers across the Netherlands and through its official website and app, where you can play a single draw or take out a subscription that enters the same numbers every week. The operator also runs Lotto XL, a separate draw with its own numbers and prizes; XL results are not part of the Lotto numbers shown here.
Odds
The odds of winning the Lotto (Nederland) jackpot are 1 in 8,145,060: 6 numbers from 1–45.
Prizes and jackpot
The prize ladder runs from small prizes in the lowest categories up to the jackpot for all six numbers. The reserve number, drawn seventh from the same machine, serves as a tiebreaker within a category: matching five numbers plus the reserve number ranks above five numbers alone, and the same applies further down the ladder. Six correct numbers wins the jackpot, and the reserve number is not needed for it.
When nobody matches six numbers the jackpot rolls over to the following Saturday and grows until it is won. The operator announces the jackpot for the next draw on its site, and that figure is what appears at the top of this page.
History
Lotto has been played in the Netherlands for decades and was long run by De Lotto, the foundation that also organised the Dutch football pools. In 2016 De Lotto merged with the Staatsloterij to form Nederlandse Loterij, which has operated the Saturday draw since. The six-from-45 format with a reserve number is the rule set applied to the results on this page.
Frequently asked questions
When is the Dutch Lotto drawn?
Every Saturday at 21:00 Amsterdam time. The numbers are published on the operator’s site shortly after the draw.
What are the odds of winning the Lotto jackpot?
Matching six numbers from 45 has odds of 1 in 8,145,060 per line. The reserve number is not needed for the jackpot.
What is the reserve number?
A seventh ball drawn from the same machine after the six main numbers. If you have matched some of the main numbers and also hold the reserve number, you win in a higher category than the main numbers alone would give.
Are Lotto XL results shown here?
No. Lotto XL is a separate game with its own draw. This page covers the Saturday Lotto draw only.
