About Quina
Quina is one of the oldest games still run by Caixa Econômica Federal, Brazil’s federal lottery operator. Five numbers are drawn from a pool of 80, six evenings a week, and the top prize rolls over until someone matches all five. It is the mid-sized member of the Caixa family: cheaper and more frequent than Mega-Sena, but with longer odds than Lotofácil.
This page shows the five numbers of every draw in our archive, the prize breakdown by tier and the estimated prize for the next contest, taken from Caixa’s official results service. LuckyNumberz does not sell tickets and has no connection with Caixa.
How to play
Choose five numbers from 1 to 80. You can mark between 5 and 15 numbers on one slip; anything above five costs more because the ticket covers every five-number combination among the numbers you chose. The terminal can pick for you (Surpresinha), and a single ticket can be repeated for several consecutive contests (Teimosinha).
Bets are sold at lottery shops across Brazil and through Caixa’s official website and app. Draws are held at 20:00 Brasília time from Sunday to Friday, and sales close shortly before the draw.
Odds
The odds of winning the Quina jackpot are 1 in 24,040,016: 5 numbers from 1–80.
Prizes and jackpot
There are four prize tiers, named after the number of matches: Quina (5), Quadra (4), Terno (3) and Duque (2). Each tier receives a share of the prize fund, so the amounts are pari-mutuel and vary from draw to draw. The Duque tier is the newest of the four; the oldest draws in the archive show only three tiers.
When nobody matches five numbers the Quina money rolls over. Caixa also holds a special draw each June, the Quina de São João, with a larger guaranteed prize fund that cannot roll over: if there is no five-number winner, the money goes to the Quadra tier.
History
The first Quina contest was drawn on 13 March 1994, and the 5-from-80 matrix has stayed the same ever since. The game moved from weekly to daily draws over the years, and in July 2026 Caixa replaced the Saturday draw with a Sunday one, giving the current Sunday-to-Friday schedule. Our archive begins in 2008; older draws exist at the source but are not collected here.
