About Tzoker
Tzoker (Τζόκερ) is Greece’s main jackpot lottery, run by OPAP, the Athens-based operator that holds the country’s games-of-chance licences. Players choose five numbers and a separate Joker number, and the top prize rolls over until it is won, which regularly makes Tzoker the largest prize on offer in Greece.
This page shows the five numbers and the Joker for every draw, the prize breakdown by category and the archive of past results, all read from OPAP’s official published data. LuckyNumberz does not sell tickets and has no connection with OPAP.
How to play
Choose five numbers from 1 to 45 and one Joker number from 1 to 20. A single column costs €0.50, and you can mark more than five numbers or more than one Joker on the same slip to play every combination at a proportionally higher price. Draws are held in Athens on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 22:00.
Tickets are sold at OPAP agencies across Greece and through the operator’s official online channels. Because the Joker is drawn from its own machine with 20 balls, it is a separate pick rather than a seventh ball from the main drum.
Odds
The odds of winning the Tzoker jackpot are 1 in 24,435,180: 5 numbers from 1–45 plus one from 1–20.
Prizes and jackpot
There are eight prize categories, labelled by main numbers plus Joker: 5+1 is the jackpot, followed by 5, 4+1, 4, 3+1, 3, 2+1 and 1+1. Matching a single main number together with the Joker is enough for the smallest prize. Prizes are pari-mutuel — each category receives a fixed share of the prize fund, so amounts vary with sales and with the number of winners.
When nobody matches five numbers plus the Joker, the first-category fund rolls over to the next draw. OPAP guarantees a minimum jackpot after a win, and long rollover sequences have produced some of the largest prizes ever paid in Greece.
History
Tzoker was introduced by OPAP in 1997 as a companion to the older Lotto 6/49 and quickly overtook it in popularity thanks to the rolling jackpot. The 5/45 plus 1/20 matrix has stayed the same since launch. OPAP itself was founded in 1958 as a state body and was privatised in 2013; it remains the sole licensed operator of numerical lotteries in Greece.
Frequently asked questions
When is Tzoker drawn?
Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 22:00 Athens time. OPAP publishes the numbers and the prize table shortly after the draw.
What are the odds of winning the Tzoker jackpot?
Five numbers from 45 plus one Joker from 20: 1 in 24,435,180.
Is the Joker drawn from the same balls as the main numbers?
No. The five main numbers come from a drum of 45 balls and the Joker from a separate drum of 20, so the Joker can equal one of the main numbers.
Why does the jackpot amount sometimes show as empty?
When the first category has no winner the prize rolls over and there is no paid amount to display for that draw. The rolled-over fund appears in the next draw.
