About Taiwan Super Lotto

Taiwan Super Lotto, or 威力彩 (Wei Li Cai, “Power Lotto”), is Taiwan Lottery’s two-zone jackpot game and the one that produces the island’s largest prizes. Players pick six numbers from a first zone of 38 and one number from a second zone of 8; because the second-zone ball comes from a separate machine, the jackpot odds are far longer than in Lotto 6/49 and the top prize can roll over for months.

This page shows the six first-zone numbers and the second-zone number for every draw since the game began, the prize breakdown by tier and the carried-over jackpot for the next draw, read from Taiwan Lottery’s official results service. LuckyNumberz does not sell tickets and has no connection with Taiwan Lottery.

How to play

Choose six numbers from 1 to 38 in the first zone and one number from 1 to 8 in the second zone. A single entry costs NT$100. You can mark the numbers yourself or take a computer pick, and one ticket can be entered for several consecutive draws.

Draws are held on Monday and Thursday at 20:30 Taipei time, and unlike Lotto 6/49 the schedule does not change for the Lunar New Year. Tickets are sold at Taiwan Lottery retailers across Taiwan.

Odds

The odds of winning the Taiwan Super Lotto jackpot are 1 in 22,085,448: 6 numbers from 1–38 plus one from 1–8.

Prizes and jackpot

There are ten prize tiers. Six first-zone numbers plus the second-zone number wins the jackpot; six first-zone numbers without it is the second tier. Below that the tiers alternate with and without the second-zone number — five plus, five, four plus, four, three plus, two plus, three and finally one first-zone number plus the second-zone number, the smallest prize. The lower tiers are fixed amounts; the upper tiers share the prize fund.

When nobody matches all seven numbers, the jackpot fund is carried over to the next draw, and the figure shown on this page for the next draw is that carried-over amount published by the operator. Long rollover runs are common because of the two-zone format, and after a win the jackpot restarts from a guaranteed minimum.

History

Super Lotto held its first draw on 24 January 2008 as Taiwan Lottery’s answer to demand for a bigger, harder-to-win jackpot alongside Lotto 6/49. The 6/38 plus 1/8 format has been used since the opening day, and the archive on this page begins with that first draw. The game has since produced the largest lottery prizes ever paid in Taiwan.

Frequently asked questions

When is Taiwan Super Lotto drawn?

Monday and Thursday at 20:30 Taipei time, all year round.

What are the odds of winning the Super Lotto jackpot?

Six numbers from 38 plus one from 8: 1 in 22,085,448.

Can the second-zone number be the same as a first-zone number?

Yes. It is drawn from a separate machine with balls numbered 1 to 8, so it is independent of the first-zone numbers.

What is the smallest prize?

Matching one first-zone number together with the second-zone number. Matching the second-zone number alone does not win.
